I'm continuously getting the above message. The related text is "An SpamRazer update was downloaded successfully, but a failure occurred when updating the local data". Please note that I've recently moved the configuration from one server to another. Thanks for your help. MP

Do you have any extra info from the AuSpamrazer.gfi_log.txt file that might suggest what the problem is? When you moved configuration, which method did you use? The method I'd use is stop all services on the original server, copy the program files folder to the new one, then do an install on the new server.

Same method as you (I think it's the only supported/suggested by GDI). I checked on the file you said but I didn't found much infos. Anyway now it's getting better (no more errors since 48h)

Hi, Seems the cause could be a problem with an update and this could cause the data to be corrupt. Please make sure the antivirus exclusions are in place as the scanning applications may cause problems with the upgrades of the application. the following link contains more information about this: http://kbase.gfi.com/showarticle.asp?id=KBID001824 Also, please ensure you are using the last build of MailEssentials (20090826) as there have been modifications in the upgrade system for the SpamRazer module. If you are in the latest build and you are experiencing issues with the download (what does not seem to be the exact issue), please check http://forums.gfi.com/fb.aspx?m=900781801 for a patch that solves some issues with the connection to the SpamRazer servers Regards,

I had the same issue (on latest build, 20090826). I installed the latest patch, reboot the server without change. And then whithout doing anything else, after some time, the issue disappaered by itself.... Quite strange...

This suggests a fault on the mailshell side of things, rather than a local issue.
