Hello, We have the following setup: Cisco CUCM 6.1.4 with Cisco 2811 with BRI where connected an ISDN-2 line with 10 number block. Only used for incoming faxes. We using H323 Trunk between Faxserver with ip 10.1.10.1 and CUCM 10.1.10.2 Then we have a SIP Trunk with KPN where all or numbers coming from. So this trunk is used for incoming and outgoing. so when there are faxes are send it's going over the SIP trunk to the KPN. But this is the problem because it's not working.

Are you using an SR140 or a TR1034 series board? What is your GFI FAXmaker device pointing to as a gateway (your cisco router or your Call Manager)? Be sure that your gateway device is configured for the T.38 protocol and is allowing for your H.323 communication port (check firewalls, etc.) Do you intend to send and receive, or just receive faxes with GFI FAXmaker? If you are sending, do you see any specific error messages in the GFI FAXmaker monitor? Please be elaborate as possible so that I may assist you better. What you may want to do is gather a Wireshark capture and check to see if your gateway is rejecting the fax and at what point (T.38? H.323 communication?).

We are using SR140 for sending and receiving to the cisco 2811 gateway receiving is working but to the KPN SIP trunk sending and receiving is not working. On the line we get the following: Last error: Unknown error : 3 and Brooktrout unit 0 specific error: sendfax::BFVCallSetup[res.status=0][res.line_status = 329]

329 on a res.line_status signifies a SIT tone encountered on the line (example: when you pick up a phone and dial an invalid number, you will get an operator that picks up and states: "The number you have dialed is incorrect, please hang up and try again". Please make sure that if any prefixes are necessary, you supply them during the send process.
