I kind of tolerated it for a while but it started to affect our ability to deal with emergency issues related to Exchange 2007. The problem is our exchange 2007 SP1 hangs for almost 4 to 5 minutes before it shutdown and reboots or starts. We also get this error sometimes but not sure if this is related to the hang ups during shutdown and reboot.

Hello techguy

"Update Rollup 7 for Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1" from Microsoft seems to include a fix specifically for frequent EventID's 9874 being logged on Exch2007Sp1 machines.

Not sure if this is the cause of the delay you describe, but would you be able to install the update and let us know if it fixes the problem?
