I have a large number of corrupt events when opening the events browser. Whatever default query (Security Events?) comes up has a large number of events at the end of the log that are garbage, they only show:

Date= 1/1/1980
Time= 12:00:00 AM
Event= 0

Why are these there and how do I get rid of them? They are not rolling off to the backup db.

Also this default Security Events listing has almost 3 million events..... but only 538 and 540 events, most of which are from the Events Manager service account (which I still have not gotten an explanation for from the support center).

When you first open the Events Browser, what is the default query that is shown? What is it set to show?

Hi,

By default the first events which will come up in the Events Browser are all Security events. However if you select any other Event log or any filters, go to another tab and then go back to the Events Browser, then the events for the last selected node will show.

We would need to investigate this issue further. Can you please generate a set of debug troubleshooter files and sent them over to forums@gfi.com for further investigation?
