Today I noticed that the GFI services were not running. However, when I attempted to start the EventsManager service the following error message is displayed:- Could not start the GFI EventsManager service on Local Computer Error 23: Data error (cyclic redundancy check). Any ideas?

Ken, I fear the worst in this scenario. CRC errors (Cyclic Redundancy Checks) typically mean either file corruption of hard-drive failure. It could be something as simple as one corrupted xml file, but there may be much more. Do you notice any other CRC errors listed in your windows event log? Have you had any recent trouble with RAID drives in your server? A simple unisntall and reinstall may resolve the issue, but I would recommend opening a trouble ticket with us.

As suspected, Bad sector on Hard Drive. Microsoft recommendation is to replace hard drive. Fortunately, for me Database was on a SQL 2005 server. So I reinstalled application onto another computer. I only lost my weekly GFI reports for the entire year. Thanks
