hi, Just installed NSS 8 with activation key - all working fine. Tried installing Report Pack but it fails at the SQL Server selection point. NSS8 is on a new installation of Win2K3 server. The server also hosts WSUS and has been patched to the hilt. I installed MSDE under a new instance called GFI_DB and specified this as the database when installing NSS8. When I try installing the Report Pack I get to Database Selection and pick: Use LANguard NSS 8 MS SQL Server/MSDE database. Next screen is SQL Server selection where I can select the NSS server name from the list and tick Use Windows authentication. When I click Next it tries to connect to the database and fails with the error: LANGuard N.S.S. 8 database does not exist on the specified SQL server. I haven't installed any other instance of SQL however WSUS may have been configured to use some sort of version of SQL. How do I get Report Pack to point to the GFI_DB instance of MSDE when doing the install? Or should I scrap everything and start from scratch again - if so what do I specify as the database when installing NSS8? Thanks!
