Hi. We've been using the final version of MARC6 and have an issue with the user mailbox synchronisation. It's stopping at the same mailbox each pass. I've turned on debug logging and we're getting the following error:

2008-09-05,11:01:50,169,1,"#00000764","#00000004","info   ","UMPoll.ExPoll","GetFolders...ok"
2008-09-05,11:01:50,169,1,"#00000764","#00000004","info   ","UMPoll.ExPoll","Start Processing..."
2008-09-05,11:01:50,169,1,"#00000764","#00000004","info   ","UMPoll.ExPoll","Checking \\Mailbox - xxxxx\Inbox"
2008-09-05,11:16:30,189,1,"#00000764","#00000005","warning","UMPoll.ExPoll","warning:Polling seems to have blocked...Forcing termination"
2008-09-05,11:16:30,205,1,"#00000764","#00000003","info   ","UMPoll.ExPoll","Mutex Wait...Ended"
2008-09-05,11:16:30,314,1,"#00000764","#00000001","info   ","UMPoll.ExPoll","Terminated"

This mailbox is 2.5GB so I guess it might take a long time to process. Is there a way to increase the timeout or should this not take very long in the first place?

EDIT: I've just had a look at the traffic between our marc server and exchange server. It is quite busy in these 15 minute periods, so I would guess that the service hasn't frozen - it just is that busy. So is there a timeout setting?

Cheers

Hi

the timeout is fixed and cannot be changed. What I suggest is that you skip that mailbox from the synchronization. To do so please add an "Exclude Folder Policy"

as a folder name enter '*' (without the quotes) and enable it for the mailbox with the large mailbox.

I'm having the same issue.  Sync worked for a user with a 3gb box with 48000 items but not for a user with 3.5gb and 29000 items.

OK. So I guess that is going to have to be a feature request then. Can we have a configurable timeout please?

In the meantime, could I exclude most folders in his inbox, let it do one pass, then remove some of those exclusions, let it do another pass etc. until the whole mailbox is done?

the timeout is per folder so excluding folders will not result in any improvements.

The only way to make it work is to add emails gradually but this is quite a time consuming operation.

OK. So it seems it's getting stuck on his root Inbox. If he created a subfolder and copied half of his emails into that, could that help maybe? I'll see if I can get him top clear them up as well. Since they haven't been sorted into a folder, they might be unimportant and they'll show in the Inbox on mailarc anyway.
