Hello all,

We have just installed FaxMaker on our backend Exchange 2003 server. Now, however when we try to send a fax using the FaxMaker form, we get an 'Error C-0007 Send Failed' message coming up. There is nothing in the documentation that explains this message. Any ideas?

Hey there
I had the same error on my installation.
A "Restart Server" in the Fax Server monitoring helped.

Hi,

The error c-0007 send fail is a connection failure. This would happen when the form tries to connect to send the fax. You must ensure Outlook is set as the default mail client and that it load up on a profile that connects to exchange server immediately, not that it loads
off line. You must also ensure the connection to exchange is stable.

Thanks Patrizia,

The Exchange server works fine! We have two Windows 2003 servers. The first one runs terminal services (which is the main one everyone logs into in order to run Outlook/Office etc.) The second server runs Exchange 2003. We have all sorts of services such as OWA, OMA etc. set up which run fine.

We can receive faxes OK, but FaxMaker will not route it to an Exchange user. Similarly, when users try to print using the FaxMaker printer driver, we get a C-0007 error. Trying to print via Outlook results in our faxes disappearing altogether with no notification!

Cheers,
Devan

I have the same problem, however I'm not using Exchange. The suggested solutions in this thread didn't solve the problem.

I'm using FAXmaker 12, SMTP install.

Hi,

From where are you trying to send the FAX? Are you using the Email2fax Gateway?

I'm printing to the FAXmaker printer driver.

Is there or isn't there a solution for this problem?

I am having the same problem with two of our 30 faxmaker users. One is getting Error 5, the other Error 7.

I have tried uninstalling the client, deleting registry/directory entries, and deleting the faxmaker printer driver. Also tried it under a different windows profile and recreating the Outlook profiles.
These two users are using Outlook 98 and Outlook 2000. They are able to send and receive email with no problems.

We are using FaxMaker 10/Exchange 2000. fax using the fax form and the problems happen either with the faxmaker printer driver or using outlook to 'email' a fax.

Is there a list that describes in details what the different error codes mean? "Send Failed" doesn't tell us anything other than "something doesn't work"

Thanks
Maurice

I'm using the Email2fax gateway, indeed.

The netprintqueue2fax driver is working, but not really suited for most of my faxing needs. The print quality is also lower then when using the Email2fax gateway!

I am having the same problem on two computers out of 30. We are using the print to faxmaker function. When the user clicks on the "To" button on the faxmaker form it does not connect to the outlook address book. I made no changes to faxmaker and all functions previously worked. I also restarted the server, but that did not work

Hi guys,

I also had this problem but I fixed it by removing faxmaker.com domain from:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\GFI FAX & VOICE\FAXmaker Client\Config]

and changing it to my domain.

i am also using the SMTP client with SBS2003 and exchange 2003 not the mapi one and it works a treat now.

Regards
Ryan
