Hi Folks
I have notification emails going out to staff regarding deleted emails. This has just started happening today??
Does anyone have any ideas?

PS - i have removed the user notification. However i do not believe the Notify Local user was selected prior to today???
i see both the BitDefender and Norman anti virus received updates today, these were the two engines sending notifications.
If any one can clear this up for me i would appreciate it.

Chris,
What exactly are you looking to be cleared up? If BitDefender or Norman detect the message has a virus attached it will act on the message. Is the question regarding the notifications being selected?

Thanks for the reply John. My information was that 'notify local users' was not selected prior to yesterday, so i could not understand why the sudden influx of notifications. However i can only assume it had been selected all along and only became an issue while under a heavy spam/virus attack?

Chris,
Without seeing the logs of when this happened I could not say for sure what caused this. I would tend to be in agreement with you that the options had been selected all along.
