A WinXP Pro SP2 w/o firewall was loaded inside a virtual server (VMware Server v1.04) and ESM v8BUDIL0702 was setup to monitor that client. Had no problem adding that inside ESM v8 console but no matter what credentials we tried, ESM couldn't get any logs. Has any one tried VMware Server?

Almost forgot, the activity shows Event Collector is having problem seeing the registry of my virtual WinXP, altho Remote Registry has been enabled & clearly there are no firewall between ESM v8 & the virtual WinXP. So, the question is does ESM v8Build0702 support VMware?

Hello imatone,
Yes, GFI EventsManager can collect event logs from an OS on a VM. Can you post the details of the error that you are receiving in the operational history? If its a problem access the remote registry on the VM you might want to check the credentials that you are using to collect events from that server. You might also want to review the following KB article for additional troubleshooting steps you can take -
