To anyone,

Does LanGUARD requires NetBIOS protocol in order for it to scan Windows servers?
Reason I'm asking is I have Windows servers that are sending to many NetBIOS broadcast and I want to diasable NetBIOS because my initial assesment we do not need it as we do not have a WINS server to process NetBIOS request.

Then I was told that LanGUARD requires NetBIOS to be running on servers that requires LanGUARD scanning.

Please comment.

Yes, NETBios is a required component of scanning a machine with GFI Languard
