Hi! Sorry, my English is not good, but I try :) I'm sending thousands of fax every day, but I have a problem. Faxmaker calls numbers, but it takes 40-50 seconds before the line disconnect if it not get a answear. If the number I send to is okey, it normally take max 10 sec before it starts to send. So, I want to set a limit for the calling time before the line is disconnecting. How do I do that? We use a Brooktrout 1034 card and Faxmaker 14.3. Thanks!

Open your Brooktrout Configuration Tool in Advanced Mode with your GFI FAXmaker services stopped. Once you have done this, select BTCall Parameters and select Show Advanced on the right. Then, scroll down to "Time to Wait for CED Tone, x10msec" and change this value from 4000 to 2000. Make sure you save, apply, then close your Brooktrout Configuration Tool and then restart your GFI FAXmaker services. Test again, and see if this provides you with your desired results.

Great, thanks! Iīt worked! Perfect! I have a Eicon diva server 4BRI-8M 2.0 too, do you have a solution for this card also? Itīs a option with No-Answer Timeout (s) in the configuration tool for this card, but it donīt seems to work.

Not too sure about that board - you may want to pull the manual for that hardware if you have it and look for a similar option to what I had suggested previously. It sounds like you were going down the right path with your modification; did you make sure to save this setting then restart the GFI FAXmaker services once doing so? Another thought might be a driver update for this hardware. Glad the Brooktrout setting worked out for you.

I've got this message from Dialogic: "The no-answer hang-up delay cannot be configured for BRI lines in the Diva Configuration Manager (only for analog lines), it is entirely controlled by the application that sets the call properties. This parameter is controlled with the 'CPT_NoAnswerTimeout' API call property. A 'manual' timer can also be implemented. The rationale behind this design is that one application making different types of calls can tailor the answer time-out separately for each type of call." Do you know where I can do this in Faxmaker?
