Dictionary Attack

 When I scan a range of addresses I am not able to do a "Dictionary Attack" on the reported shares. The context menu has the option grayed out when right clicking on the share. If I scan just the single address then the "Dictionary Attack" menu item is available. Is this by design? Why?
