After running maintainance jobs to archive and deleting old events from the ESM database, the database is still the same size. Shouldnt the database shrink?

Hi maxsegal,

I think that the database size is still the same, however the free space in your database has increased. depending on your SQL Settings, the database will only increase free space, but not actually return that fre space to your harddrive. You should be able to see that in the database properties (i.e. you would need a before-and-after comparison).

Yes, thats what I was doing...but for some reason it took a looooong time to actually free up the space...maybe because there was so much of it to free up...but its good now...guess I just have to be more patient.
