Hi all

First off, ME14 appears to be a big improvement on previous versions - hardly see any SPAM in inbox now, and false positives are down

New dashboard is a great idea - but "SPAM blocked by each SPAM filter" appears as an empty chart. I've left it running for a couple of days now, and nothing. Email flow chart is working - I assume they use the same charting tool?

Any ideas what I've done wrong?

Thanks

Paul

Paul,

Can you restart the GFI MailEssentials Attendant Service and then open the dashboard?  Let me know if this starts showing data at this point.

Hi John

Thanks for your input - I restarted the service yesterday morning and left it all day, no change.

I assumed the next step would be to restart the server, so I did this last night. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear to be stopping any SPAM now - and the original problem still isn't resolved.

Looking at the real-time dashboard - it isn't moving, so I guess a service isn't working. I've checked services, and all three MailEssentials services are working:-

- Enterprise transfer
- Legacy attendant
- Managed attendant

Help please!

Paul

Had the exact same problem, but we were able to resolve it by restarting all the GFI services. No reboot was necessary. I wonder why it stopped though.

Eventually got around the problem by uninstalling - restart - reinstalled - worked.

Thanks for your help.

Is there also a solution without reinstalling? It worked yesterday, but when I checked this morning the statistics were empty again (everything zero). What is the cause of this?

I'm with you, I have a system that does not show the statistics.  I've restarted the services, but really do not wish to uninstall and re-install...

I to have noting showing in statistics - is there something we need to turn on to make it do something?

I unstalled and reinstalled and first attempt notinng came through status either, on second reinstall status is working (which I assume means some blocking is occuring again) but still not a single count in the statistics tab?

Sorry - I wasn't very clear in my reply, reinstalling got the SPAM filter to work again - but I still don't have a bar chart, or whatever it should be, for "SPAM blocked by each SPAM filter".

I gave up, as I would rather have SPAM working than see the stats...

It would be nice to have both.  It's not on all the servers I support.  Generally version 14 is a huge improvement over version 12, but I'll be happier when we can get statistics cooking again.
I'm not sure that it doesn't have something to do with your logging settings...
