Hi

Can GFI please clarify this.

If we have 2 forests with an Exchange Org in each, can MARC that is installed in say ForestA be able to archive mail from ForestB and using the same database?
Users in ForestB do not require access to the archives.
ForestA is Exchange 2003 and ForestB is Exchange 2007.

Cheers

ewctm38,

You can configure journaling on Forest B and then add a mail server to archive in GFI MailArchiver to connect to the server remotely via IMAP.  You will want to make sure that you can see your users in both forests from within GFI MailArchiver so that the messages that are being archived are applied to a user.

How do you do this? I can only see users in forestA when I access MARC from forest/domainA.
When I browse MARC from forest/domainB I get an authentication error.

ewctm38,

If you can not see the users from forest/domainB when accessing the GFI MailArchiver interface this will not work for you.  You would then need to install GFI MailArchiver on forest/domainB as well.
