Hi all, We're using GFI MailArchiver v5.0 build 20080430, installed on a Windows 2003 x64 standard server. Client machines are running windows XP SP2 and have outlook 2003 installed and configured. After configuring the GFI PST Exporter with export and directory service settings and setting the client service to use the domain admin credentials, I created a test computer group and installed the client successfully on a windows xp sp2 machine with the windows firewall disabled and outlook installed and configured. The PST Exporter console sees the client machine (and has an 'idle' status) and the client machine can see and connect to the MailArchiver server. I've configured the sources tab to include the entire local c:\ drive and also the folder where I have the PST's located which is "c:\PSTs". The problem is, every time I click the 'Start Processing' button to process PST's on the client machine, the status of the client will almost immediately go back to idle, and the log shows 'No PST's found, check search paths'. The domain admin account (which is configured for use with the client service) has write access to the entire c:\ drive of the client machine and I also shared out the MAIS\Pickup folder with everyone having write access. Also, the accounts which were used to create the PST files are still in the Active Directory. Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know if you need any more information from my end. Regards, Mike Kalsow Israel Berger & Associates LLC

Mike, Can you install filemon on the workstation? After this is done launch filemon and then attempt to pull the PST from that machine. Let me know what you see.

Hi John, Thanks for the response but I have since resolved the issue. Apparently the exporter agent doesn't process PST's which have been detached and are seperate from Outlook (which is what I was trying to do) - but it works fine with PST's which Outlook is still connected to. To get around this I had to run the PST-Exchange export wizard or "eewiz.exe" (located in the mail archiver program files on the server) from a workstation with Outlook installed, chose the PST option and selected the PST I wanted to process. It ran fine using that method, the emails were processed into their respective databases by year. Thanks again, Mike
