Hello,
I was just wondering if GFI can finally go ahead and add Caller ID (not remote ID) routing to Faxmaker. When searching, I find posts since 2007 requesting this feature, with responses saying that it'll be "requested as a feature".
I guess I'm just frustrated because there are free alternative fax solutions that have this feature; just not sure why GFI doesn't.
I don't have the luxury of DTMF, DID, MSN, OCR, and I have too many customers to require that they all set up remote ID's.

Hi,
Routing using Caller ID has been supported by GFI FAXmaker since version 14.1. You need to create a DWORD registry value "RouteUsingCallerID" under HKLM\Software\GFI FAX & Voice\Faxmaker\Config and set it to 1. The use GFI FAXmaker Configuration->Routing->CSID to populate it with routing rules for the desired Caller IDs.

This would be wonderful! I scrambled to find documentation for this- PLEASE say that the part about "CLIP is only supported when GFI FAXmaker is using ISDN lines to send and receive faxes" is incorrect! I have regular analog fax lines; no ISDN.

Hi,
What device are you using ? Currently GFI FAXmaker does not support CLIP when using regular analog modems, we are looking into it, however, at this point I cannot provide any timelines.
