Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this as I still don't know if it's an issue but my Mail Security's Bitdefender virusdef have been updating almost every hour for the last 2 days.

Hi,

Can you please send troubleshooter files to support@gfi.com to allow us to check further?

Mine has slowed down to a more normal rate today. If it starts up again I'll send the files.

I have the same, bitdefender updating more or less every hour.

Perhaps Bitdefender release lots of little updates?

I am going to try and keep a note of the def versions and see if they increment...

The bitdefender sigs seem to be incrementing in line with the notifications - currently on 101730 sigs...up a whopping 6 sigs from 2 hrs ago!

Now at 101737 sigs!

It seems that that Bitdefender "trickle" the updates out as they have them.

Don't know if this is a new policy for them; I don't recall having this many updates previously...

GFI,

Is asking for troubleshooting files the only form of support you know how to provide?

I hope you guys use your own products, so can you please tell us:
a) is your bitdefender also updating with every scheduled download? (mine does also)
b)Is that normal?

We are just concerned that the updates are failing and our systems are no being fully protected.

Thanks,

Sergio

Yes!

Since the last update about 30 minutes ago, Bitdefender is removing all content from all mails even the local ones!
I've shut the Bitdefender engine down now. Something's changed without notifying us!

What's going on?

Thanks

Hi,

I apologize for my rhetoric question on my previous post, I do appreciate GFI maintaning this forum.

I did notice as Toby in the previous post that the signature count is incremeting. My concern was that by GFI requesting troubleshoot files it does suggest that they think there is a problem.

If there is nothing to worry about it would be nice for them to just say so.

Sergio

Also 101745 sigs!

I've had hundreds of messages being quarantined in the last half hour. Shut Bitdefender down temporarily guys! The other engines will do the job for You.

Regards.
