Hi, After installing build 20080326 I note that our Bayesian list has dropped to 26 entries and is not growing. Automatically learn IS selected. I also note that the archive and log database is not getting updated either. Other methods are working namely: directory harvest, header checking, keyword checking, purbl, surbl and dnsbl. All GFI services are running. We had a situation where W2003 ran out of disk space and this (now resolved) may have contributed to the problem. Appreciate any advice before my users kill me! NEIL

Neil, Do you have any antivirus software running on this server? If so please make sure ..\Program Files\GFI and ..\Program Files\Common Files\GFI are excluded.

Yes, we have Symantec Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange. This is a recent installation and I can't figure out how to check what folders it's affecting, if any. The new cp is not easy to understand! NEIL

Do you have any regular antivirus software like Symantec Antivirus Corporate etc, as this is where you would need to add the exceptions John was referring to.

ngjarman, Does the SAV 10 installation you have run against this server at all? What about backup jobs?

Hi, regarding SAV, actual server software is located on another machine. On this machine, there's no AV installed, but SAV server control panel is installed. Backup jobs run only on elected folders, which do not include any on either exchange of gfi folders. NEIL

ngjarman, If you open the GFI Monitor and then send an outbound message do you see the message process through the monitor?

Seems to me that our Bayesian database is not growing too... Maybe it is already quite big (HAM: 12613; SPAM: 51424), but the spam folder is filled every day by our users. Logfiles say that the spam folder is being processed, but the database is not growing. No antivirus software is running, and there is enough space on the harddisk. ME12 20080326 is installed. By the way, it seems to me that it is working after a server reboot, because spam mails that are put in the spam folder over and over again are filtered after a reboot. The problem is that I can not reboot the server for testing, so I have to wait till the next time. Jelle

For ngjarman can you check to see if you have both a GFI MailEssentials Attendant service and a GFI MailEssentials Legacy Attendant service?
