Backup speed across network

Status: offline 		Hi,

I have just installed GFI Backup - Home Edition. It does just what I want (thank you) but is very slow across a network.

I am running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit on both machines in question with a wired (via router) 100Mbps connection. To transfer 11GB of files with windows explorer takes < 1/2 hour, but to backup the same data took 8 hours with GFI backup.

Is this normal?

What type of backup task did you create? Did you use ZIP compression?
