Hi,

We encounter a problem from our GFi Server that the said GFi Server becomes unresponsive or hang up (System unresponsive) every time we launch the report pack and generate a report. Then we will need to make a hard reset on the server. We look at the events viewer of the said server and we found that the cause of the problem (System unresponsive) is pointing  our backup database from the GFi ESM, then we launch the SQL Studio and we saw the backup database (EventsManager_AugBkp) was marked as "SUSPECT" and we cant even detach the said database and we cant even see its properties. Can we still be recover the said database that is marked as "SUSPECT"? since all the Event Logs from Aug 01-05, 2009 resides on it.

Thanks and best regards,
Budz

Can you determine what account is the DBO (Database Owner) for this database? Sometimes when a database is owned by an employee, and that employee leaves the company, or the account is disable / deleted this type of trouble can occur.
