I have configured a download control policy that allows all file types. I have opened downloading to specific users. I also want to get those files scanned via GFI virus scanners. When i keep the virus scanning policy the default way, it allows me to download all file types successfully but without scanning. The moment I select any of the file extensions for virus scanning in the virus scanning policy, I start getting the proxy authentication window. And after 3-4 attempts, the message appears in the IE, "page cannot be displayed" (even though the credentials are valid). To sum up, it doesnt let me download if i choose any sort of scanning. Desperately need help!

Hello ahmadhumayun, If you open WebMonitor on the ISA server (not using Internet Explorer) you shouldn't have problems with the pop-ups. May I ask you to check the 'Active Connections' section of WebMonitor and to tell me if the users are Authenticated? When there are no active connections you can also use the 'Past Connections' section. May I also ask you to check the Virus Scanning Policies and to see if your Anti Virus Engines are enabled? Kind regards,

The user which i start downloading from is not being authenticated. I can see the usernames in the active/past connections section. Even with the same user, I am able to do browsing and stuff. It just starts prompting for id/password when I try to download a file having an extension, which is also defined in the virus scanning policy. Not to mention, the filetype in question is allowed in the policy. All three virus scanning engines are enabled.
