Right..

so i've got a little issue here.

Basically MARC is archiving spam, even though it was detected my M.E.
let me explain.

We use Public folders a lot, in fact, most of the incoming mail comes on a P.F

All the Antispam actions is to move the spam to a user's sub-folder "Junk e-mail".

This has effect that spam caught for a PF is sent to the Global Action.
So my Global Action is to forward the mail to a spam PF.
That way the spam for the different public folders are all stored in one place for analysis.

now, the issue

I had setup MARC to ignore all mails sent to spam@mydomain  ... thinking this would avoid storing all the mails sent to the public folder ...
BUT
i now realize it has stored them, and when i do check the FDB file containing all the archived mails, i see that the recipient is the original recipient (the public folder).
I am sure this is the mail from the Global Action because the subject has been changed to contain the original destination adress and the reason for spam block.

i need help setting things up again to avoid archiving spam ... because we get around 2000 a day ...

Or how about this ...

How do YOU ( email administrators ) configure ME + MARC to not have spam archived ?

We are a healthcare organisation so simply killing spam is not an option -you can be certain that some of it is vital.

We detect spam with ME12 and direct it to a collecting mailbox on the Exchange server, from where it is archived normally by MA5. It never gets to Outlook but somehow is still available to users from the MA5 web interface if they need it. For some, as yet undiagnosed reason, everybodys spam is also appears in my MA5 web interface but I can live with that, just.
