We are pleased to announce the release of the first BETA of the GFI FAXmaker 12 ReportPack, build 20070212.

The GFI FAXmaker 12 ReportPack is a full-fledged reporting companion to GFI FAXmaker 12. It assists systems administrators and management to
- Generate graphical reports for management that show an estimate of how much money the organization saves each month with GFI FAXmaker when compared to having an employee send the faxes manually.
- Generate reports to determine how many faxes and smses each user sent and received during a particular period.
- Obtain information such as number of faxes and smses sent and received per day, as well as per week. Graphical reports can also be generated that show line usage per month, thus helping to plan upgrades.
Through fully automated report distribution via email and custom report scheduling the GFI FAXmaker 12 ReportPack allows you true install-and-forget functionality.

The GFI FAXmaker 12 ReportPack runs on top of the GFI ReportCenter -- a one-stop, centralized reporting framework which enables the generation and customization of reports for a wide array of GFI Products.
Key features of the GFI ReportCenter framework include report scheduling, export of reports to various formats or print, and distribution of reports via email.

Reports generated by the GFI FAXmaker 12 ReportPack

FAX Reports
----------------------------------------
Five reports that provide information such as amount of faxes sent and received by each user, as well as amount of faxes sent or received per day or per week. This group also includes two graphical reports that are useful for upper management. The following is the complete list of FAX reports:
Daily Fax Usage; Shows the amount of faxes sent and received per day during a particular period. Through this report, record of fax usage in the organization can be kept.
Weekly Fax Usage; Shows the amount of faxes sent and received per week during a particular period. Through this report, it can be determined whether fax usage is constant throughout the year or peaks during certain periods.
User Fax Usage; Shows the amount of faxes sent and received by each user during a particular period. With this report, it can be determined who is sending and receiving most faxes, for example.
Estimated Saved Costs; Includes a graph that shows the estimated savings the organization is making each month when using GFI FAXmaker, as compared to having an employee send the faxes manually. This report is useful for upper management to determine return on investment (ROI). The estimated savings are calculated by multiplying the total amount of hours taken to send faxes during a month by a $12 per hour wage. You can customize this value to match the local wage trends.
Fax Line Usage; Plots a single line graph displaying a line for each GFI FAXmaker line configured. Each line shows the usage trend across the months for the particular period selected. This report is useful to determine line usage patterns, for example.

SMS Reports
----------------------------------------
Three reports that provide information such as amount of smses sent and received by each user, as well as amount of smses sent and received per day or week. The following is the complete list of SMS reports:
Daily SMS Usage; Shows the amount of smses sent and received per day during a particular period. Through this report, record can be kept of SMS usage in the organization.

Installation Requirements for the GFI FAXmaker 12 ReportPack

- Microsoft Windows 2000 (SP4) / XP (SP2) / 2003 Operating System.
- Microsoft .NET Framework v1.1 must be installed.
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.1 or later.
- GFI ReportCenter Framework** v3.5 build 20070117 or later.
** The GFI FAXmaker 12 ReportPack installation will automatically download and install the GFI ReportCenter Framework, but the latter can also be downloaded separately and pre-installed. The latest build of the GFI ReportCenter Framework can be downloaded for pre-installation from the following location:

Cant get it work with my existing access database.
just updates faxmaker to the latest build and installed the reportpack package, pointed to my existing database ... but nothing happens.
In the reports still the examples are given, not my data. when i click on the "14 day review" button rp closes without any comment.
Testsystem:
Pentium M740, 1gb ram, Win2k3 server sbs, faxmaker12 latest build with a 25user/4line license.

1. From GFI ReportPack Configuration > Options > Database Source – check the path of the database (should be the one set to archive from GFI FAXmaker 12)
2. What is the Size of the Access database being used?
3. Using Microsoft Access check that data for that particular period queried is present in the Archive database.
(Note. When using ‘For the last 14 days’, data from the current day will not be gathered, but will start for the previous day)
4. When mentioning “"14 day review" button Report Pack closes without any comment.”, check event log if there are anything related.
5. If yes, please send a copy of the Debuglogs which may be found <C:\Program Files\Common Files\GFI\ReportCenter\Framework v3.5\Debuglogs >. Please Zip up the DebugLogs folder and send them over to forums@gfi.com with reference to this thread.

- FIX: Data generated in a report was not being shown using the regional settings. Now correct separator and decimal point are shown as defined in the regional settings.
- FIX: Reports were not being generated correctly when the data in the reporting database is produced by German installations of GFI FAXmaker 12.
