I've been working with tech support for the last 2 weeks but still not able to resolve this issue.
I dont get alerts when critical events detected. After the tech looked at the debuglog he found down that notifications were sent to our smtp server. I went back and looked at the server log and saw that the connections were drop when EventsManager tried to deliver the messages. I did some reasearch and find out that the messages contain bare linefeeds which violate the RFC standard that's why it dropped the connections. My question is can we change the message format within EventsManager? This needs to add a CR before the line-feed. Or is there a workaround for this without changing the email server? Thanks

Hi xyz01,

We are currently trying to reproduce and identify the issue.

Can you please try to edit the email notification message as to not include the event description tag and see if there are still bare line feeds? If there are, can you please try entering a hardcoded description and check then?

Let us know how this goes.

Thanks!

Not working with any tags. But it works when I enter hard code text. According to the tech i've been working with, this issue has been escalated to developers.

I should be your software tester . This is the second bug i found. First one was the key module. I upgraded to 7.1 and upgrade the key, but it wouldnt take the new key. Couple days later I received a link to download a new build .

Update - I got the patch for this issue today. Pretty sure GFI will release the patch soon.
