hello,
I've got problem with DS6 20040528 on W2003 + ISA2004. When downloading a file through proxy, it's downloaded, but the scan fails with one of these messages (by turns):
GFI DownloadSecurity blocked file. Reason: Security scanning engine didn't initialized because of internal Error.
GFI DownloadSecurity blocked file. Reason: Security scanning engine didn't scan object because of interuption:Invalid pointer. Scanning engine will reinitiate. Try again
It looks it has something to do with the username i entered during installation of DS. There is a message in system event log: DCOM got error "The operation completed successfully. " and was unable to logon ISA2\admin00 in order to run the server: {7C63A1F5-2993-4D47-B1CB-1C2D1136939D} This message appears just with the 'internal error' gfi failure reason.
I didn't find a way to edit or change the credentials. There is a key in registry under My Computer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AppID\{7C63A1F5-2993-4D47-B1CB-1C2D1136939D} containing username, but there is no password key (even i know i enter password during installation).
Anyone seen this problem? Thanks for reply.

still the same isa is not part of the domain, so i hope i'm not wrong when i enter account of local admin instead of domain admin (as written in install)

Most of the cases this is caused by GFISCAN.EXE COM OBJECT having wrong security credentials. These credentials are set during installation of DownloadSecurity. try to reinstall these security credentials by:
0. Stop ISA (DS services) 1. run ôSPser.exe ûu" 2. run ôSpser.exe ûregserver" 3. start everything and try DS scan.

hi!
I had exactly the same error (I used the AD administrator account)
I created a new user in my AD with admin and domain admin rights then I uninstalled dlsecurity and installed it again, and used this new account for dlsecurity (instead of administrator account). I dont know if this is the reason, but now it works and that was the only thing I changed.
greetings, kano.

Was there any answer to this??
I am trying out DS6 with ISA2004/W2003 and getting the same error. I've tried a domain admin account and, after reinstalling, a local admin account.
