Hi

try using a machine name (hostname of exchange server) in the "Mail Servers to Archive" Wizard instead of an IP Address.

It is on a it's own server - Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise x32

2 Exchange 2007 Enterprise servers

Server 1. Client Access Server
Server 2. Hub, Transport, Mailbox

Both Exchange servers are running Windows 2008 x64 Enterprise and Exchange SP1

Hi,

We are having the exact same error.

Our exchange and GFi setup is the same.

Has a solution been found yet?

Boags.

Hi
unfortunately the current version of MailArchiver 6 does not support User Mailbox Synchronization when used in your current Exchange deployed setup.

In the next GFI MailArchiver release build a workaround will be introduced which will work in your Exchange deployed setup.

regards

Hi Ian,

If we installed Imap on the backend Exchange server and pointed Marc to that would it work?
Or if we ran Marc on the Exchange Backend and used ExOLEDB?

Hi
yes if you install MArc on the Exchange Backend and use ExOleDB this problem would not manifest itself.

Hi Ian,

You have just released an update SR1 for Mail Archiver it states as below that this error has been fixed, I have applied this update but am still having the same issue, can you advise what I need to do?

Article ID: KBID003414

Changes within this release include:

Mailbox Synchronization:

You also need to do the below:

- Stop GFI MailArchiver Core Service
- Open \GFI\MailArchiver\Core\Data\product.config

- Add the following key:

<add key="UMPollingSkipExchangeCheck" value="true" />

- Start GFI MailArchiver Core Service
- Perform a User Mailbox Synchronization Test to ensure that Mailboxes are retrieved this time.
